dave stafford returns to the stage as part of the tolbooth's electrronic bar series, which features DJs interspersed with live performances. dave most recently, earlier in 2009, performed with robert fripp and the orchestra of crafty guitarists, at their debut live performance in san cugat, spain.
please plan to arrive early, as dave will be on first, at around 8:00 p.m., and will play for approximately 45 minutes. this is a rare chance to see and hear how looping works, as dave creates ambient soundscapes with a single, looped guitar. in keeping with the electronic bar tradition, dave will also be performing some experimental, electronic pieces, as well as selections from his back catalogue, including as yet unreleased material.
